SCHEDULE:
Centennial Peace Plaza - Main Stage
2:00pm
Korean / JK Kang Taekwondo & KA Poongmulnori
JK Kang Taekwondo will present a cultural demonstration highlighting Taekwondo as Korea’s national sport and an official Olympic event. Through traditional forms, basic techniques, board breaking, and team performances, our students hope to share the discipline, respect, and perseverance that are central to Taekwondo. We are honored to take part in One World Day and to represent a small part of Korean culture alongside the many communities that make Northeast Ohio so diverse. Our goal is to offer an educational and enjoyable performance that reflects both the athletic and cultural traditions of Taekwondo.
In the Columbus, Ohio area, you can experience Pungmulnori—the traditional Korean folk music featuring drumming, dance, and theatrical pageantry—primarily through the Ohio Korean American Pungmool Nori Drumming Group. This dedicated community organization is based in Columbus and welcomes both Korean and American members.
2:50pm
Polynesian / Pacific Paradise Entertainment
Pacific Paradise Entertainment is a professional Polynesian dance and entertainment group based in Cleveland, Ohio. Led by Artistic Director Audrey Gdoy, the ensemble specializes in bringing authentic Hawaiian Hula, Tahitian, and Polynesian cultural traditions to Northeast Ohio. They operate both as a mobile event performance troop and a cultural dance school.
3:30pm
Israeli / Ketzev Cleveland Israel Dance
Ketzev Cleveland Dance Organization is a community non-profit that offers opportunities to explore Jewish and Israeli culture, heritage, and traditions through dance. Ketzev invites dancers of all ability levels and offers programming for all ages. The Ketzev Young Adult Performing Troupe is extremely excited to be performing at One World Day for the 100th Anniversary!
