Parking and Transportation

For people unfamiliar with the Cleveland Cultural Gardens, getting there and parking can be a concern. Not to worry! Please click here for more info about the parking lots.

The team has made it very easy for you to get to and park (for free) for One World Day on Sunday, Aug. 30. There will be plenty of signage, too.

Please note MLK and East Boulevards will be closed to ongoing vehicular traffic from 7 a.m. until midnight on Aug. 30.

IMPORTANT:  The U. S. District Court staff and new citizens and their families should park at Willson School, 1126 Ansel Road, at the top of St. Casimir Way. Make sure you show your pass for entry. The naturalization ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Once the lot is full, please park at the VA Employee Parking Garage (see below)

There are two main lots that will be used for FREE parking:

From I-90:  The Metroparks South Gordon Park – this is a new lot, entrance is at 801 E 72nd St, Cleveland, OH 44103. One designated school bus will be available to transport to the North of the garden. School Bus will run from 8:30am till 6:30pm. Note that parking on the grass off the exit is no longer allowed.

From other points south of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens:  the VA Hospital Employee Parking Garage to the south, at 1606 E. 105th St.

Three designated OWD School Buses will be transporting from the VA Employee Parking Garage, to the Chinese Cultural Garden (until 4pm), to the south entrance of the Gardens (at the Peace Garden of the Nations); they will then enter into the Gardens ONLY on East Blvd. stopping at the triangular letters area. It will continue looping until 6:30pm.

Buses will start at around 9:30 a.m. and last bus final drop-off at VA Garage will be at 6:30 p.m.

TRAVELING WITHIN THE GARDENS:

This year, we are incorporating a two (2) TRAMs with 2 trailers each, available only on  MLK to help patrons travel within the Cultural Gardens. They will stop at various points along MLK (orange triangles on map). These stops will all be marked with yard signs. Travels along East Blvd. will be provided by buses (moving from the south end of the Gardens to the north end of the Gardens only)

Please note that our courtesy golf-cart transportation is reserved for our elderly visitors and guests who require special assistance. All visitors are encouraged to use the TRAMs as their first choice for travel within the Gardens.
