In late August 2023, the Cleveland Cultural Gardens celebrated its biggest and most successful One World Day event ever. Some 50,000 people flocked to Rockefeller Park to enjoy a spectacular parade, fabulous food and multicultural performances.
One World Day, produced by Johnny Wu, showcases the very best of Cleveland – its diverse people, its music, its dance and its art. The event also draws visitors to the Cultural Gardens, a string of international gardens depicting musicians, writers, philosophers, scientists, painters and other icons of more than 35 different cultures.
On this unique day, each garden showcases its unique traditions and each visitor can connect with his or her own heritage; families can explore their personal stories and learn about other cultures, too.
In 2024, One World Day will mark its 78th anniversary. Once again, it will include the Parade of Flags, a naturalization ceremony for new citizens of the United States; fun multicultural activities for children and adults and more great ethnic food than you can imagine.
The Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, which hosts One World Day, is asking for your support. We want to continue this great tradition and we want to make 2024 a year to remember. We want you to be part of celebrating this thriving multicultural region that is Northeast Ohio.
The CCGF is a 501c3, non-profit organization; it works to promote, advocate for and preserve the 103-year-old Cleveland Cultural Gardens. The CCGF is eager to work with you as we plan for One World Day 2024.
