This is the ending of the parade as the units arrive on MLK Blvd when they are announced to the public by news anchor Chris Tanaka and Sheila Murphy Crawford.

Cleveland Police Chief Calvin D. Williamswill be the Grand Marshall!

Calvin D. Williams is the City of Cleveland’s 40th Chief of Police. Chief Williams was appointed to the Division of Police on February 24, 1986. In 1989, he was assigned to the SWAT Unit where he served for nine years. Williams was promoted to Sergeant in July 1997 and became the SWAT Unit Supervisor, a position he held for two years. Chief Williams has also served as the supervisor of both the Vice Unit in the Fourth District and the Fugitive Unit.

At the end of the parade, watch the The Naturalization Ceremony  where we welcome new citizens to our region and embrace our diversity.

CCGF President Dr. Wael Khoury and the executive board have led an aggressive effort to include communities that do not currently have a Cultural Garden in the Parade of Flags. Attendees can expect to see units from Indonesian, Mexican, Colombian, Brazilian, Catalan, Uzbek, Palestinian, Bhutanese and other communities marching in the Parade of Flags along with representatives of the 30 or so communities that have a Garden or are in progress.
